It is Spring! Spring always makes me thrilled. It feels like something great is about to begin. The scenery outside the window becomes colorful and bright. Walking around the street, I took pictures of plants. Green and fresh creatures welcome Spring.
Do you think I can also take care of these pretty flowers? Honestly, I don’t think so. With a high possibility, they will droop…
I enjoy watching these attractive plants, but there are also side effects. I am deceived by their colorfulness, and it makes me to wear light and bright clothes. Then what? I am so cold everyday… It is Spring, but it is still cold like Winter sometimes.
So, I will amend it. It is Sprwinter now!
Enjoy the spring, but please be careful not to catch a cold! 🙂
Yesterday, I went to Takashimaya to look around special events. The Hokkaido event was hold on the 10th floor of Takashimaya. I went there with Aoi who recommended it to me.
But we had work to do before going there.
In the Komeda’s coffee shop, we wrote brainstorming and made to-do-list in my left period in Japan. Because Aoi helped me a lot, I could think about the plans with more details and I was satisfied with the ideas we made. Thank you for the support 🙂
Finishing the brainstorming, we headed to Takashiyama to watch and try special products in Hokkaido.
….And there were more people than I could imagine. There were long lines everywhere and I couldn’t even walk well because of the crowd. Still, I enjoyed a lot watching and smelling the all kinds of food there. There were fish, Ramen, sushi, meat, chocolates, Ice-cream, cheese, and even corn & pumpkin soup. All kinds of food famous in Hokkaido gathered! So exciting!
Besides cheese, we could try ramen, meat, salmon and soup! I am sorry that I couldn’t try the soft ice-cream because of the long waiting line. Everything made me so happy and I wished I could buy all of them. But I just cried with my empty wallet…
I bought one product, cheese omelet. I wanted to buy at least one thing in commemoration of this event and Aoi recommended it to me! I didn’t eat yet and it is in the refrigerator in home. I will say how was it after eating it~
Even if I haven’t go to Hokkaido in real yet, this event comforts me^-^
Today is Monday and it is supposed to cheer up and put some effort, but unfortunately I don’t feel well today. I kept coughing and my voice became a little bit strange. But I don’t think it is cold because I don’t have any fever and nothings wrong except throat.
My soar throat make me to want to eat Ramen.. because of warm つゆ in there.
As I say think about Ramen, I recall the day of the Ramen festival. It was two weeks ago, but I can not forget the nice Ramen there! It was at the Sakae, and luckily the day I visited was the last day of the event.
I don’t know well, but I chose Ramen that said to win a competition. And it was not so different from what I expected. It was really nice Ramen!
This reminiscence make me more hungry, and increase eager for Ramen. I should eat Ramen tonight!
Even if it is Saturday, I went to grit office today to do some work.
I am editing a video nowadays, and it is difficult to work fully on the weekday because my computer doesn’t have enough ability to function some enormous program. So I decided to do some works on weekend, concentrating more than usually 🙂
There were some grit! Members who are hard at works in the peaceful office compared to weekdays. Everyone puts hard work, and that’s truly incredible.
After doing some works, I went to a cafe named 珈琲元年 中川本店.
I thought I should put more effort from now on because I counted the days left in grit!, and surprisingly, I have only about 97 days from today. Isn’t it scary? TIME IS FLYING, REALLY!!
I make myself a promise to do my best every minute!! 頑張ろう~
On the Saturday I spent time with ごとうsan and みずさこsan. It was kind of unique combination. Isn’t it?
みずさこ san promised to buy sushi, so we headed to a sushi restaurant near Nagoya station. When we arrived there, it was not opened yet and we had to wait more longer. But the waiting was worth it because the reward was…
The taste was beyond my expectation, and I ate every sushi served. Especially the crab(?) sushi and salmon sushi were the best out of them.
After eating sushi we also went to the Starbucks that I love. I have to refrain from going there, but my steps were automatically headed to Starbucks. The Starbucks was at Valentine’s event, and there were special Frappuccinos. If you order them, you can choose what to add on the Frappuccinos among three flavors, coffee, romantic and chocolate.
I ordered romantic, ごとうsan ordered chocolate and みずさこsan ordered coffee. Unintentionally, all different valentine menus gathered!
After having coffee in the Starbucks, みずさこsan went back to home, but women’s time was not over!!
As I found out, ごとうsan was a huge shopping-lover like me. We headed to a big AEON mall. It was very kind of her to drive her car to the mall. Thank you very much ごとうsan!
Oh! and we also found VERY VERY familiar clothes in a shop!
I was very excited to see many goods there! We walked over and over in the mall. My legs became tired a little bit, nevertheless I enjoyed a lot.
In the end, luckily both of us bought something!
ごとうsan drove me home as well as to the mall. Thanks to her, I was able to get home safely. I was so impressed by her kindness. Thank you again 🙂
I am always open-minded to the shopping. I like try a new clothes and feel happy when the unexpected style goes with me. So when you want to shopping, please call me anytime~.
What did you do on your holiday? For me, it was absolutely nice holidays. Especially the food made my breaks more perfect! I really ate a lot…… So, I am gonna talk about the food I have on the new year period. If you read this blog, you might become hungry 🙂
2018 12-31 On the last day of 2018, I had Nabe and 御節料理 for dinner with Yoshida san’s family.
And this is 御節料理 that Naho cooked. She also made the bird shape!
After eating dinner, I slept about 2 hours before the midnight. When I woke up, the soba was waiting for me! I ate soba in a sleepy state but it was still delicious!.
On the first day of 2019, I went Osu with ごとう san and ゆうい san. Thanks for joining with me~^^. We were full of anticipation for shopping at first. But what happened?? We were concentrating on eating!!
After eating ロオパオ, everyone said “まだ足りない”. So we headed to Takoyaki shop! There were so many people there, so we waited for a long time.
And next.. I needed dessert! It looks like bread in the picture, but actually it is ice-cream.
I was also attracted by the choco-banana, and…….
When I am eating the choco-banana, I constantly talked to myself in mind. ‘This is the last one, this is the LAST one……’. But the reality is……
Luckily(?), たいやき was the last food in Osu. But we don’t go to home yet! Then where?
…… Italian restaurant at Nagoya station!
I felt my body become heavier T.T I think ご とう san and ゆうい san might feel the same way.
The sad thing is, 2019-01-01 was only a beginning of overeating. Still, I was really happy with the food!
Hello! こんにちは! 안녕하세요~ My name is Woori, and I am the international intern from 2018. November~ 2019. May in GRIT!
It has already been three weeks since I came to Japan. Time is FLYING! Really. I have my own blog from now on, and I am going to write about wonderful experience until I am here.
And today, I will talk about the day I came to Nagoya on November 24. When I got to the airport, it had been raining and very dark in Korea.
The rain made me very very.. NOT sad! not at all. I was just so excited about what will happen? what kind of people I will meet? and most important, what will I eat??:D
Well, my friend told me this later, that the rain was changed to snow! It was first snow this year in Seoul when I arrived in Japan.
When it was snowing heavily in Korea, I was meeting new friends in warm Nagoya. Before I come to Japan I was heard from my TN manager, Aoi that four people will go to the airport. But… Surprise, surprise! Seven AIESEC members came to the airport to see me.
Including me, about eight people were there. Yeah! We were a large group, so we couldn’t even sit all together in the lunch time. I was so welcomed by the AIESEC members, thanks to all!
After eating lunch with AIESEC members, I went to Nagoya station where I met Rie san for the first time. She took me to where the GRIT! members existed.
As I found out, they were in the middle of sport competition. When I arrived there, they started to run very enthusiastically, and enthusiastically fell down… Are you okay??
After dinner, I visited the GRIT! office, where I will work for next 6 months. When I arrived there I was stunned by the big sound, a bark sound! There were three big dogs, Ume, Niko and Huku. I knew there are dogs in advance but honestly, I was a little bit scared at first because they are bigger than I thought and also imagined what if they bite me?
But as time passes by I am fully adjust to these dogs, and now they are in charge of my healing time. These lovely dogs also remind me of parrots in my home in Korea.
After visiting GRIT! office, I cleaned my luggage and fell asleep like a baby. It was really long day and extremely excited. I wish I can make great memories with nice people! Thanks to everyone welcomed me warmly.
